Spicy Cauliflower Bites

Here is a healthier alternative to game day snacking from Chelsea at Gal on a Mission that comes together in no time.  You could have them in the oven during the start of the second quarter of the football game and they will be ready to serve by half time! This recipe coats the cauliflower florets completely in the sauce by way of tossing inside a gallon zip close bag - which is not only effective but fun.  Spend even less time in the kitchen during the game by prepping ahead, cut up the cauliflower, make the sauce, bag it and keep in the fridge until it's time to pop them into the oven. Keep the clean up to a minimum by lining your rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper.  Go team!

Ingredients:

  • 6 c of fresh cauliflower florets
  • 2 tsp garlic powder
  • a pinch each of salt & pepper
  • 1 T of melted butter
  • 3/4 c Frank's RedHot sauce

Preheat oven to 450 degrees.  Line a rimmed baking sheet with parchment paper or spray liberally with cooking oil.

Mix together the garlic powder, salt, pepper, melted butter and hot sauce in a small bowl.  Add the cauliflower florets into a large gallon sized bag, pour the buffalo sauce into the bag, close and shake until thoroughly coated.  Spread onto baking sheet.  Bake for 20 minutes.  Serve with ranch or blue cheese dressing.
